Success after some bumps -- 2 tivos; 5 hours

I thought I would post the results of my upgrade in hopes that it would help others
Hour 1: General chit-chat at my friends house who's PC I'm using. Getting the PC open, Finding the IDE connections, Disconnecting an IDE drive to open up 2 connections, taking Dtivo1 apart
Hour 2: Connecting Drives to the PC and booting into DOS to run amset (Accustic Management to quiet the drive) and wvset (shutting off write verify). Both commands indicated they could not find the Maxtor drive attached. Confusing, since the bios found them fine. I finally bailed on it - and hoped that the noise from the drives wouldn't be too bad.
Hour 2.5: Boot from kazymyr boot CD. I recieved a Segmentation fault when trying to mount the PC's windows drive. (see "Segmentation fault thread). Recieved help from hinsdale and kazymyr NEARLY REAL TIME through this forum (Unbelievably cool). kazymyr suggest I burn a new boot CD.
Hour 3: Complete Boot CD software download. Install software to burn CD. Install Windows XP software upgrade to CD burning software. Burn new kazymyr boot CD.
Hour 4: Upgrade DTivo #1 with nearly no pain. Linux would on occasion give non-fatal memory errors - but everything else worked as planned.
Hour 5: Update DTivo #2 without issue.
---------------------
DTivo #1: 2 120GB Drives -> up to 260 hrs capacity
DTivo #2: 40GB, 30GB -> up to 57 hours capacity
---------------------
Lessons:
1. Its good to have friends (kazymyr, hindsales, etc) - even if you've never met.
2. The pins on the power connection to the drives on one of the DTivos were bent in every direction. A small screw driver seemed to fix that.
3. Tivo won't let you into the "Season passes" or "To do list" if you do not have a Satelite connection. I had to go on faith that the season passes, etc were transferred correctly (which they were).
Thanks again for everyones help.
