Memory expansion?

Many months ago, I recall reading a thread wherein a few folks came up with the specs/methods/etc to solder additional memory chips to the motherboard, doubling the memory of the unit.

Are there any pages up that talk about this? Anyone that's done this and can provide the details needed? Anyone that does this professionally? (I'm sort of a soldering newbie and would be afraid of damaging my motherboard)

Any pointers, comments, etc, would be appreciated.
