I just bought a Philips DSR 6000 DirecTV Tivo system and have a problem with the upgrade.I backed up the original drive before adding my Samsung 80 drive as the 2nd drive, but after I formatted the drive with Bless Tivo, which reported no problems and recognized the drive as a 74gig drive,I installed it and in the system menu the recording time still shows only a max.recording time of 35 hrs.I would appreciate any help or suggestions on what I can do.

It sounds like your DTiVo isn't seeing the new drive. Check your cables and your jumper settings.
Make sure your A drive is set to Master (factory default is Cable Select) and your B drive is set to Slave. You may need to check the Manufacturer website for the jumper settings.

thanks for your suggestion,I already verified the jumper settings on the master and the slave drive and they appear to be correct.I have a brand new
DSR6000 and I would think the IDE cable is working. Can I hook up the master drive to the slave connector to test the cable?or is there anything that I have to do to the master drive to see the slave drive?I appreciate all input, thanks
Henning
