i am about to upgrade my tivo and I herd that the back up is only about 200-300 megs. Is this true? From what I read in the FAQ it look like it was 30 gigs for my hdr312 phillips. Help. I guess I need to back this up. Am I stuck buying another drive to do that? I just want a copy incase something goes wrong or my a drive blows up.

Using mfstool, you can get backups in the 150-300MB range. You will loose all of your recordings, but it does keep everything else.
