Okay, I have made the switch over from Replay TV and I must say that Tivo is definitely better but one of the things that I miss the most is the 30 second skip button that I had with replay TV. I am using the Hughes GXCEBOT Directv/Tivo combo box and it does not have that feature. Is there any way to somehow get this feature?

As for your question, while watching a program press select-play-select-3-0-select. Now your -> button will skip 30 secs.

I have know about the 30 second skip for a while, but re-entering it after a power down I discovered something else (I haven't seen anyone mention).

The Easter Egg: During Live TV you enter Select-Play-Select-3-0-Select and get the 3 bell. Now that Easter egg is activated. Now the Forward to end of program will skip 30 seconds.

However, if you are fast forwarding (1,2,3, arrows) and then hit the (skip to end) it will jump by 15 minute increments. Not entirely useful, but the neat thing is it works in reverse as well. Not revolutionary, but cool, none the less.

How it should have worked: Same is all the above, but when you are fast forwarding with 1 arrow (skip to end) it will jump by 1 minute increments, 2 arrows 5 minute increments, 3 arrows skip to end. That would be more useful.
