If i repeat the guided setup will i lose all my recorded programs and thumbs up profile ??

I'm guessing no - just from the way the manual is written it sounds like only a 'delete preferences' or 'full system reset' would delete thumbs, etc.

Nope - I've repeated guided setup a number of times and it's always retained my thmbs ratings and season passes, with the obvious expcetion of scheduled reocrdings on channels that aren't there after the setup ;)

Cool. I was going to do a repeat Guided Setup myself (as source 1 kept on being quoted as analogue cable), but 2.5.5 has worked it's magic and updated it to digital cable for me anyway!!

Not sure, but it might be worth deleting the thumb profiles anyway. Gary said that the suggestions algorithm has changed in 2.5.5 (it's better!) and re-thumbing your fave programs should make the suggestions far more accurate.
