STOP SCSI Scan before upgrade

I have an Intel with embedded dual-channel SCSI. Whenever I boot with the BootCD, it takes forever scanning all IDs on each SCSI Channel. Is there anyway to boot with the BootCD while disabling Linux from scanning the SCSI Channels?
Thanks in advance.

You must have the older 2.6g version with built-in scsi drivers. Please use the newest version, 2.6i, which has the drivers built as modules (precisely for the reason you mention) and doesn't do any probing at boot.
