Upgrade with unexpected bonus??

Okay, I know this is going to sound crazy, but . . .
I added a second drive to my DirecTiVo bringing the total space available to 108 hours. Everything went well, and all is working flawlessly.
Here's the strange part. As much as I like my TiVo, I've always thought that the GUI was a little sluggish, sometimes painfully so. However, since my upgrade, the GUI has been instantaneously responsive. I touch a button, move through the menus, select a program to record, and there is ZERO delay.
I don't see how these two things can possibly be related. After all, adding RAM might make for a more responsive system, but more disk space shouldn't make a bit of difference. Yet, the difference is astounding.
So I have to ask, has anyone else noticed something similar?
Cheers!

My DirecTivo significantly slowed down after I upgraded it to 149 hours. With 10 pages of shows to scroll through, my response time has slowed down.

Its actually related to the reboots you did, not the extra space. The machines seem to slow down over time. In addition, with a larger drive, when you get a lot of recordings in Now Playing, the TiVo will always be slower going into some of these areas. No slower than before your reboots.
