Now I'm upset. I usually get 24 on the Sunday or Monday Fox Family episoed (we record Scrubs on Tuesday). I noticed yesterday that I didn't have an episode in Now Playing. I looked back in recording history and it said that the Tuesday episode was removed from the To Do list by someone in the houseold (Scrubs wasn't on due to the Olympics...I don't know what got recorded instead), but then the Sunday and Monday episodes said that it wasn't recorded because that episode was already in the now playing or to do list (28 day rule).

If something gets removed from the to do list and there is another episode scheduled latter on, shouldn't it get the future episode?

Bad TiVo!! Now I guess I'll have to read the synopsis on Fox's web site.

No. If you explicitly remove something, Tivo will not substitute a different showing. If you have a conflict (and I have three Tuesdays at 9:00pm) then Tivo will consider later showings.

Ronsch is correct; TiVo assumes that if you remove a show from To Do, you don't want to watch it.

In such a case, if for whatever reason you don't want to watch the particular showing that TiVo has scheduled, your best bet is not to cancel it, but to manually select another showing. TiVo will then remove the original showing itself, and if anything happens to the one you picked, it will look for another one.
