as the title said.
i followed the hinsdale guide to upgrade my hughes directivo from a single 40gb A to a single 120GB maxtor.
backed up using mfstool and then did a 'dd' from old to new.
powered up to test copy, all looked fine.
then did a mad/setup.sh to up the partition size.
unfortunatelly, it's still showing 35hrs on the info screen.
i know i could try a mfstool restore, but i'd like to keep the program data if i can.
any suggestions/tips to test the new partitions etc.?
thanks in advance
chris

As it states in Step 4 of the How-To, if you are planning on using a new larger A drive in a DirecTiVo unit, you will need to download the DTiVoMad Boot Cd nuboot6.iso (24.2MB) which is an altered larger version of Kazymyr's Boot Cd v2.6g containing DTiVoMad 4.0 and all necessary utilities.
Then at Step 10 Upgrade configuration #2 you will use the DTiVoMad utility instead of TiVoMad.
If expanding a DirecTiVo (using altered Boot Cd with DTiVoMad 4.0) then use the following command instead:
maddtb4/setupcd.sh

duh!
i feel so dumb, how did i miss that line for the directivo!
i'm guessing i need to redo the 'dd' however. i did try and do a quick 'maddtb4/setupcd.sh' for the hell of it. it ran fine, but the unit just power cycles at the power on stage.
thanks again
