QUICK ANSWER: Yes, it's called "fast-forward" or the backdoor "30 second skip".

LONGER ANSWER: It doesn't have what ReplayTV has, where it skips the commercials automatically...and never will (most likely). This alienates almost all corporate sponsors.

The "new" tivo, as in the Series 2, DOES NOT currently have 30 second skip. Not until they upgrade the software.

Even then - can we be sure it will be in 3.0?

I hope so - but it won't kill me if it isn't.
