Duplicate season pass?

Is there a way to put in two season passes for the same program? For example, I'm a big fan of the West Wing. Duh. So it's my #1 season pass, set for SUID. However, I'd rather it only be SUID for first-run episodes. I'd like to have two season passes:
#1. West Wing, first-run, save all, SUID
#2. West Wing, 1st/reruns, save 1, delete for space
That way, new ones always stick around, but old ones can be deleted. Obviously, when I'm around, this all ends up just happening in practice. But if I'm away for awhile, this makes it easier not to fine-tune things before leaving.

You cannot do duplicate season passes. You can, however, do one season pass and one wishlist. Using a wishlist and a season pass will allow you to do what you wish to do.

It's not EXACTLY what you are referring to, but since moving to my new home, I've found multiple channels with the same first-run programs here...so I've set up multiple season passes for the same programs on multiple channels...with the channels I'd PREFER to get to show from (such as stereo vs. mono sound) prioritized directly above the alternate.
This way, in the event of a pre-emption or conflict, the program will usually still record...and the 28-day program rule prevents duplication of first-runs...a very nice benefit to this strategy.

I don't understand why you say you can't have two duplicate season passes. By mistake, my T60 did have 2 duplicate season passes set up (same record options, same channel, etc). One was a higher priority than the other, so it always cancelled the other one out, but there was no other problem.

I don't see any reason why what you are describing wouldn't work, especially if your numbers refer to SP ranking. Try it and see; it won't blow up the machine. Just keep an eye on your To-do list and recording history to see that it'll behave the way you want.

David: You can't make an identical Season Pass for a show if you already have a Season Pass for that show, unless there's a mistake or bug somewhere. He'll have to use a Season Pass and a Title Wishlist.

It probably is not relevant, but a few days ago I checked my season's passes and found one manual repeat recording listed three times. I just deleted two of them and did not try to determine how this happened. As far as I know the pass worked properly, even with the three listings. It is conceivable that they were slightly different, such as existence or location of 5 minute pads.
