Help!!! Need Sony 2000 TIVO help.

I upgraded my own Philip TIVO with no problems; however trying to upgrade a friend’s Sony 2.5.1 has been a disaster. I mixed up the drive settings and erased the good one. Copying using the Linx DD command copies but won’t boot once the drive back inside TIVO. Is there something I can do with an 11 image? Where do I get one? Please help!!!
