How do I get rid of the clock?
(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)

I was trying out some of the tricks in the backdoors thread and switched on the clock display. Now I can't turn it off! I tried re-entering the code again - the FAQ says its a toggle but it won't go off:(
Where (what screen) do I actually type the code into the FAQ doesn't seem to say (I must have been lucky when I enabled it) I've tried in now playing, todo list, Tivo central and System information screens. I'm trying to type in the code S-P-S-9-S
Any help appreciated:)

quick and easy solution is to "reboot" the TiVo - ie unplugg it from the mains (or simply cut the power) this resets the TiVo to NOT have backdoors enabled.

The problem is this feature works with or without backdoors - so rebooting doesn't fix it.

It *is* a toggle. It's just you have to go into TiVo Central and back out again for the change to actually show on screen.
You would have done it whilst watching live TV. So go back to Live TV to disable it.

All of the S-P-S-X-S codes are turned on/off whilst playing back a recording - I bet that's the only place you didn't try :D
Obviously, ignore what TiVo does whilst you enter the code (eg whe you press "play" it brings up the timebar). It may need a few goes.

Slight correction to my post - either watching live TV or a recording, as MrT just said.

Yes that probably is the one I didn't try :) It doesn't help that the remote I'm using on that Tivo is the one that does double keypresses and its over a remote video sender link:D
I'll try it tonight when I get home Thanks all!
