HELP!!!

I've got a Dead Tivo Harddrive on my hands. I have a spare 60GB harddrive in my PC that I want to use as a replacement. I've Printed out the Hinsdale How-to Upgrade your Tivo and also created the the Kazymyr Boot CD v2.6i. My problem is the original 20GB TiVo Harddrive is dead, Dead, DEAD and I can't read anything off of it. It's my understanding that I need an Image of the version 3.0 software that was loaded on it and perhaps some other system software.

Any help would be appreciated...

You don't need 3.0. But you do need to specify what model TiVo you have (though I can guess that it's a 20-hour Philips.)

It is a Philips PTV100 / HDR112 TiVo

edit - I've got the boot cd ready, I've got the new drive already attached to my pc, If I could only read my orig drive.

Backup/replacement 14gb drives for HDR112s are available pretty regularly on ebay (search "tivo drive") or here.

If you do a little digging and ask, you might also be able to find someone to provide an image.

Good luck!
