I just purchased 3 WD 120 GB 7200 RPM 8 meg cache from Dell for 453 shipped. 2 of thse drives will go into my SVR2000 replacing the one single 30 gb drive thats in there. Will there be any problems doing this upgrade?

I don't know, but that's a heck of a lot of performance overkill for a Tivo! They aren't the quietest drives in the world either (I have one in my PC.) They sure are fast though.

I also purchased some of these drives, I got 4. Two for raid0 on my PC and one for my TiVo and one for a friend's. True, they may not be the quietest, but for $125 each and they running really cool, it should be great upgrade.

best i did was $165 a piece with free shipping, bought two had to use two discount codes. Search on western digital hard drive and dell in the forum, should kick back the codes for you.

Picked up a maxtor 120gb 5400rpm for $160.00 with free shipping using techbargains. Not bad at all if it actually happens.

A good price. I looked and didn't see that deal. From what business did you get the drive from?
