I have read several threads about what is the maximum HDD size, and stuff like that --- what steps are necessary to replace the HDD in my Sony Tivo (PVR-2000?).

What is a specific drive make/model to at least double (now at 30hr) my capacity...

What do you have to do to prepare the drive for installation?

What is the talk of an A: and B: drive?

What about formatting the new drive? Is that necessary?

I guess I am looking for step-by-step instructions on how to do this.
