Maxtor 100GB not recognized in DylanBoot

I am trying to upgrade my Single 30 hour Drive Tivo to a single 100GB drive Tivo. The backup image went fine but i can't get Dylans Linux boot disk to recognize the 100GB drive.

The drive is a Maxtor 4W100H6 5400rpm unit which pulls up fine in the BIOS on on any of my computers. I am able to diskwipe it, format it, everything. Even when i turn off the CMOS IDE detect settings it only detects the drive as a ~35GB in Linux (~9 gig with CMOS detection turned on).

Do you think i have to manually set up the drive at the first prompt?
How do you do that?

thanks,

At a wild guess, i would say that your BIOS is having trouble with it. Maybe look at updating your BIOS versions to the lastest version and this will most likely cause all the problems to go away.

It sounds like the drive may be locked. I had a similar problem. Some new Maxtors lock up during the image restore and only report 9-10GB. This is stated in Hindale's How-To. Try running qunlock (thats a Q, not a G!) This worked for me. Good Luck!
