Here is where I am...
(1) My Tivo died
(2) A have a new hard drive
(3) I have a backup file containing the image for my new drive
(4) The image is in the root directory (C:\) of my computer
(5) I am using a Boot CD to run the needed utilities
(6) Since I didn't (couldn't) copy my a drive I started on step 8 of the upgrade instructions
(7) I am following the instructions to the letter.
(8) I am stuck...
I keep getting the error that the file ("tivo.bak") can't be found. I have double and triple checked my spelling, spacing and punctuation. At this point everything grinds to a halt since it can't find the file on my computer to copy to the new drive.
Any suggestions?

did you mount the drive?
if you dunno what I mean, re-read the instructions
I had no unix/linux/tivo experience, my tivo died, and that is what I experienced.

jstubbert-
I'm no expert, but I recently did an upgrade on my DTivo. Make sure that you mount both drives (I think that you have to mount the drive that has the tivo.bak file, as well as the new hard drive, but I am not sure.) I would re-read the directions, as psmetz has stated. Hang in there, I'm sure that someone will respond to your message and help you get things up and running again soon.
