Months after upgrade.... all I get is a constant "Welcome. Powering up....." followed by a reboot and much of the same.

I suspect one of my hard drives failed on my dual 120GB DirecTivo. How do I determine which drive is bad?

My Problem

If you look at the thread, I've been having a similiar problem, but running all the diagnostics from Maxtor still doesn't come up with any errors. And even after I reimaged, I am still getting reboots nightly (or more). So if anyone else has an idea about what other diagnostics can be used to tell if the drive is going bad, I'd appreciate it too...

Unfortunately, Powermax does not always reveal all. There will be times when a drive is "bad" but Powermax doesn't detect it. If you have re-imaged and continue to get problems, your best bet is to work with Maxtor to get your drives RMA'd. There are many ways to do it, but their website is terrific. You can also call them and describe your problem and try to get an RMA code that way.
