I have heard people speak of both TurboNET and TivoNET. I thought that TivoNET was for tivo series 1 units and TurboNET was for the series 2 units but I saw sombody who said they upgraded from TivoNET to TurboNET. What is the difference between these two and which one is better? (i have a Philips HDR212)

Tivonet is an adapter that provides an ISA interface that you can plug your own network interface card into. Turbonet is an all in one solution so you do not need your own NIC.
If you are interested go to http://www.9thtee.com/turbonet.htm for turbonet and http://www.9thtee.com/tivonet.htm for tivonet.
