Audio Encoding Cuts Out

Here's an interesting one -
randomly, after the upgrade of my SA TiVo (SVR 2000), my TiVo's audio encoding function will fail completely. It records video just fine, but no audio will get recorded. Recordings will have audio where they had audio, and when it cuts out, silence was recorded. To fix this, I have to tune to a new channel, then tune back, where everything reverts back to normal.
It happened once during a program I was watching (and recording), which I was lucky enough to cancel recording and redo the recording (during commercials).
Guess it's my TiVo being a little flaky like it is from time to time. Probably should just reboot it and make sure.
Anyone else experience this?

I had the same thing. If I stayed on a station for a long time - eventually it would loose audio. If I changed channels it would usually come back.
Mine started when 2.5 came out so maybe that had something to do with it but mostly it was just a bad main board.

Hrm. I just did a restart, and it's still working strong. One thing I noticed is that if it works for a while, it'll keep working. If it'll die, it'll die in 1/2 hour or so, making recordings quite interesting...
