Why do I wake up with my TV on the Learning Channel?

I've notice for the past few weeks that when I wake up, my TV is tuned to TLC. But the last thing I record every night is on Fox. And it doesn't look like Tivo recorded anything on TLC. This doesn't happen everynight, but enough for me to notice. Anyone have an idea?

Could it have recorded teleworld? I would expect teleworld to be on discovery but maybe something about your cable provider, perhaps. You can confirm this by enabling hidden recordings through the backdoors.

I've got a DirecTiVo and I'm pretty sure that's where it gets the program data. The data comes over the satellite, not the phone.

If you don't have a DirecTiVo, I dunno.

This is the only forum I've been on, don't post much though. Do I know you?

When you really have to start worrying is the time you wake up to find that TiVo has taken your keys, your tv, your car and your little dog, too. :)

I don't know for sure - but I'll bet that's where it gets items like the Cheryl Crow video - the Best Buy Commercials - etc. Those certainly aren't downloaded over your phone line!

Those come in on Discovery Channel. Do a search by name for Teleworld and see if there's anything on TLC with that name. If so, then that's what's going on. If not, then you probably are just delusional in some weird way. ;)

Maybe I'm just delusional :p

I did find Teleworld, and it's on Discovery. I guess the only thing to do now is to not go to sleep until I see it happen again! :D

Do you have suggestions on? Maybe, your have some suggestion from the History Channel. In which case, TiVo would actually be telling you to learn. :D

Note- Suggestions appear at the bottom of the Now Playing List, so unless you scroll all the way down, you will never know what "suggestions" recorded.

Hope this helps. :)

-The Simpsons :) :D   :p
