Is it me, or has TiVoPony been more active here over the past two weeks than RB had time for over the past few months?

It's nice to see an official presence represented pretty frequently when hopping from thread to thread.

Thanks Pony! Hope your work schedule allows you to keep it up...:)

Well, actually, I've been trying to jump in as much as I can and help you guys get to know me.

We've also all had a couple of challenging issues to discuss since I've arrived, which certainly merit extra attention and participation.

That means I've been putting a bit more time into this than I really can afford going forward (both work time and my personal time...it's getting late on Friday as I write this). You see, I do already have a full time day job, and my family is starting to wonder if they'll have to "aim" me to get my attention.

So you may find quite soon that I don't have as much time to post here. And that my posts may become a bit less verbose.

But I will try to read as much as I can, and participate where it seems most appropriate.

I also intend to introduce you to some of my friends soon... ;)

I have to admit that TivoPony's level of participation has been a pleasant surprise, but I've already mentioned Richard's eventual burnout (or whatever) and I didn't expect it to last. But I always thought it would be nice if there were more than just one or two reps here--you could have been taking some of the load off of Richard all this time :)

But it sounds like you might be heading that direction now (getting more "official" help).

Is there still an official presence in the help forum? That was nice to have too, although the main issue that I got helped with in there seemed like it took much longer to figure out than it should have (a nasty problem with all ESPN channel episode ID's that made SP's worthless--particularly nasty on ESPN because they have so many seasonal shows).

Oh, and the family, just tell them you have a new hobby. You probably are up this late on the computer some nights anyway, and what is more fun than this?

TiVoPony,

Just have your family use the TiVo forum like the rest of us... If you're not around to answer your wife's questions, I'm sure one of us can handle it...

Mmmm....multiplexing...

Right... Let's get David to open a new forum - Family Guidance

Today's topic - "Help.. My Wife is Seeing a ReplayTV user !"

I have to agree, the pony has been far better than the moose. I know everyone holds RB in incredibly high regard, but maybe that's only true for folks who got to know him back in 1999/2000. For the past year or so, he never seemed to post much and it was frequently cryptic. That's cute the first time you see it, but then it gets old.

Pony's been far better, I'm glad to say. It's unfortunate he'll have to tone it down due to his (quite understandable) competing interests.

TiVo Pony's presence has been great. I'm already adjusting to an "RB-less" TiVo forum. I just wish Richard came back to give us some more details on his departure, or at least a good-bye message, I mean heck we gave him 10+pages. I would just assume he would do so rather than just take off as he did. (I guess he doesn't love us. :p)

-The Simpsons :) :D   :p

Since TiVoPony has said that many people at TiVo pay attention to this forum... I'm going to hope that his boss is paying attention to this, when I say...

Give TiVoPony a well-deserved vacation! (And make sure he doesn't take either a TiVo or a computer with him!! :D)
