Well, watched Spy TV last night. Big thumbs down.
There is another one on tonight (Tuesday will be the regular night) and I'm going to give it a try for one reason.
All the promos last week showing some really funny bits are for tonight's show.
I was very disappointed last night after watching it I realized that nothing they advertised was on that show.
Oh well, if tonight is no good then off this SP goes.

The only thing I will say in defense of Spy TV from Monday night was the Fabio thing. What Temp on Earth would cover for a boss caught doing it with Fabio? I would have hung them out to dry.
The old lady telling the boss to get dressed made the whole show worth watching.
The rest of the show was crap though.

I agree. The Fabio thing was okay, but I didn't expect it to be the highlight of the program.
What my wife and I couldn't figure out was, why were Fabio and the Boss lady actually making out? Was it in Fabio's agreement?
"If I'm going to do this I want to actually get some."

I also couldn't help but thinking that the ubermodel played the part of a biatch just a bit too well. Maybe not entirely acting.
I say bring back Candid Candid Camera (where pizza delivery boys have people answer the door stark naked) -- now that's Comedy.

I thought the same thing. He was grinding her on the sofa. Good for him!
You would think they could have just sat next to each other and made the giggling noises. His agent is a genius for getting him to make out with her.

Candid Camera is still on.

No, not Candid Camera, but Candid Candid Camera.

Well, Spy TV has redeemed itself for the time being.
The two episodes last night were pretty funny. I laughed out loud quite a few times.
Stand outs include the "farting chair" and the fat valet.
"You touched me in my naughty places."
Ha! :D

Yeah, those weren't great.
But the farting chair had me crying.

Have you seen the episode (from last year, I think) where the girl invites her upper crust mother and sister from out of town to meet her fiance for the first time? The kicker is, that he is an aspiring, white, rapper. It was hilarious to see the interaction between the mother and sister with this guy acting all ghetto (for lack of a better term).
I found that this show is hit or miss.

At least they got rid of that annoying dork they had hosting it last year. I could not stand that idiot.

Can't remember that old host's name, but I think he used to be on that sketch comedy show The State. He was hilarious. I don't think being the host of a crappy candid camera remake was the best career move for him.

I actually liked him as host.
I thought he was pretty funny.
Oh well, I guess I'll just have to put up with Ali. :D

Oops, sorry.
Never heard of that one.

That is actually the Jamie Kennedy Experiment, which I like a lot better than Spy Tv so far.

You're right! I forgot to post about JKE!
That last one with the tour to Bob Saget's house had me crying!
"It's part of the tour.....hide!"
:D

I haven't watched it this season, but I caught a few shows last season.
I found most of the jokes too cruel to be funny. Too far over that line.

This season is supposed to be "nicer" than the last.

You're right, thanks for catching that. I actually liked that show, all 3 times I saw it. It's back on, huh? I guess I'll set a season pass for it.

Yeah but they moved it to Thrusday night, which was already crowded enough for me. I believe they also moved Off Centre after JKX, which also wasn't a bad show.

Did anyone else notice how the bleeped out the word Chinese on the 2nd episode last night? When they were doing the surveys and asked the guy if he'd ever eaten part of a cat and the guy said not that he knew of, but maybe they served it at a Chinese restaurant or something like that. How silly.

Did anybody see the story about the couple suing MTV for making them part of a stunt on one of their hidden camera shows?
--Excerpt--
"James and Laurie Ryan are suing the Hard Rock Hotel and MTV, after falling victim to a prank on one of the Viacom-owned network's reality shows, reports the AP.
The couple says that they thought they were going to be spending a vacation at the Las Vegas hotel in January, but instead became unwilling participants in the TV series "Harassment." The $10 million lawsuit contends the couple were shown to a room stocked with hidden cameras that captured their reaction to discovering what appeared to be a mutilated corpse in the bathroom."

It will be interesting to see what happens with a case like that and how it affects shows like Spy TV. Thoughts?

I watched a couple episodes of SpyTV back when it was on earlier and I decided that I couldn't stand their kind of humor almost entirely with a single exception.
There was a set up with a woman going to a psychic and the psychic tells the woman that she has powers. Things then start moving and the woman is convinced that she does have psychic powers. I wish I had saved a copy of that segment for future amusement.

We're enjoying Spy TV much more this season than last season.

I saw this. If they win in court, I think it will put an end to reality TV like SpyTV. When people have a joke played on them, they will imediately see the opportunity for money. Even though, I think it is a lame lawsuit, having a dead body (I know it was fake) in the hotel room and then not letting them out is a pretty stupid thing to do.
