Series 2 A-Drive upgrade
(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)

Hello,
I was wondering if anyone has found out how to add an A and B drive to a TiVo for upgrade? I really want to upgrade my Series 2 TiVo, but I am waiting until someone figures out how to do it both with the A and the B drive. If anyone has any ideas or information regarding if it is even going to happen or not I would be very greatful. Thank you.

To the best of my knowledge, it is not yet known how to do this. I think someone will figure it out eventually, but there's no predicting when.

Good! Go hinsdale go!!!
I just picked up a open box series2 last night at Best Buy, and then went straight over to Fry's and picked up a Western Digital 120gb drive.
From what I've read... it looks like the best thing (And only option as of now) is to bless the 120gb to the drive that's sitting in it right now.
Should I do that, or 'wait' for an announcement?!?!?!?!
:D :) :D :) :D

I'm just a cheerleader too, not responsible for any part of the new tools coming soon..
If it were me I would bless the 120GB and stick it in (after making backup).. the series 2 already has a 60GB A drive. You can always upgrade further in the future if you find you need more room.

My apologies if this is way too obvious, but when doing a Series 2 upgrade, is there a need to remove the A drive from the Tivo? Can a person simply "bless" their 2nd drive and install it? What is SOP, and what are the dangers of doing it the way I "think" I can?
I've read Hinsdale's guide, but I think I'm missing something here ...
Thanks to all ...
