Upgrading an upgrade: Two drives into one?

Hello, all! Thanks for looking.
My fiancee and I are in love with our Sony SVR-2000. This past December, I upgraded the capacity by adding a 60GB drive as a B: drive. It has worked just fine, and I have no issues other than it taking slightly longer to access the Now Playing screen. We're diligent about not letting the drive get too cluttered, and there's always plenty of room for Suggestions.
During the upgrade, I was a good doobie and made an image, which I burned to a CD-R. I believe it was a 2.51 image. Just the other day, I got the 3.0 upgrade.
So now I have a two-drive 90GB upgraded system running 3.0, and all is well...
...except that Fry's is selling 120GB 5400rpm drives for $109, and I want to replace both of my current drives with a single 120GB drive. It will give me a little extra capacity that I probably don't need anyway, I can reclaim the 60GB drive for my PC, and I can finally stop worrying about the currently unsecured B: drive banging around inside my TiVo.
I've scanned Hinsdale's How-To, and I think I already know the answer to this question, but I'd like confirmation anyway...is there any way I can transfer all of my recordings from my current (original) A: and (upgrade) B: drives onto a single (huge) A: drive? Or will I lose all of my recordings, but retain Preferences, Thumbs, Season Passes, etc.?
Thanks again for looking!

AFAIK there are 2 things you can do:
1. Restore your 2.51 backup to your new 120 GB drive. This will cause you to lose any changes to your Season Passes, Preferences, Thumbs, etc. since you made the backup.
2. Unmarry the drives and then copy the 3.0 image to your new 120 GB drive. This will keep all of your current Season Passes, etc.
Sorry, I don't know of any way to keep your current recordings. You may want to watch them or dump them to VCR before doing either of these. Good Luck!

I believe there are new tools in beta testing from Tiger. I haven't seen confirmation on preserving recordings, but there have been hints.
Might be worth a little wait to see.
