Yes i got one for £99 ex demo model i believe so i am quite happy its all set up and i rang up to subscribe! :) a question or two though-

How long will it take tivo to recognise my new account status and perhaps update software i made another daily call today to see if it updated anything but my account status still says 1.new call 08709etc. i don't know how long the grace period is i just don't want the thing to go wrong so its only gets limited capabilities :(???

hope its worth it if its not i'll be after you lot :D

I think the grade period is around 15 days.

The account takes about two working days to activate.

my full subscription took a week to activate...dunno why, but in the end tech support got me to do a forced update and then all was well :)

Grace period is 7 days from the day of first switching it on and setting it up. This gives up to around 3-4 weeks of prog data, but there have been reports that after the 7 days the thing deletes passes and the like.....

I rang CS on Saturday night to activate, and when the TiVo updated it's info on Sunday night/Monday AM in it's daily call, my account was listed as "in good standing"

The new software was dowloaded using a forced call on Saturday then a manual restart.

AFAIK, customer servises send all the subs to the US as a batch job at the end of the day, so could take 48hrs.

The software upgrade is seperate, and you would normally se that about 24hrs after the first guided setup.

Well i have an account in good standing it only took like 24hrs so they must be working overtime to look after their special customer also the software updated itself :) well i am happy with it i have many a season pass set up already and the pause tv option rocks!! thanks guys!

i set up my account last night and it was working this morning.. i guess i was lucky and kept force calling anyway... being without the tivo functionality was hard to say the least, to think i was almost going to use it as a manual recorder:rolleyes:
