If you could nominate just one show for an Emmy in the category Best Drama which of these would it be and why?
edited for clarity (?)

I think several of those shows should be nominated, but I'd probably have to go with either The West Wing or CSI to win the award.

You know, this kind of surprises me, but I think 24.
The others are great, but 24 was different and new. I realize it had continuity problems that bugged some people, but I was able to suspend my disbelief and hang on for the ride. I really liked it.
Keifer Southerland was good too. :)

no Sopranos?
I voted West Wing. Well written. Good cast. Eventhough I generally dislike to politics of the Bartlet administration, I'm smart enough to see beyond that. Its just a TV show, afterall. A good TV show.

I had to say Alias. ER didn't pull me in this year until the end, and 24 was great but just not as good as Alias. I don't watch the other 3. too much filling up the TiVo with other shows, that they weren't picked up by me.

Sopranos not eligible this year; no new episodes last year :(

1st place: 24
original
unevenly written but by and large had great episodes
2nd place: CSI
also a fresh concept in its 2nd year; good cast, good stories EXCEPT the jump the shark episode with the psychic:)

Of the choices listed, West Wing. CSI will probably win the People's Choice award.
My write-in vote is the Shield, although it has no chance.

I watch all these but West Wing and Six Feet Under. They are all good shows, but I'd have to go with Alias. The show is just really exciting and engaging.

Forget about those shows (well, except for Six Feet Under, and maybe 24, but only for the first half of the season). If I could choose any eligible show, it would have to be one of the following:- Ed
- Once and Again (in particular, the Gay/Straight Alliance episode)
The following shows were Emmy-worthy, but only at the beginning of the season, before they were watered down in a desperate attempt for ratings:
- The Guardian
- The Education of Max Bickford
- Philly
The Guardian is still good, but nowhere nearly as good as it was when it premiered.
