when does the new seaoson of shows start? Some start in sept or is it august? Others its as late as Oct?? thx! Was gonna get broadband digtical cable from at@T cuz I live in an apt and can't get directtv cuz of tyhe location of my apt. Will Tivo work with digital cable and not a satelite?

There are two kinds of TiVos. "Regular" TiVo's (also called standalone) work with ANY kind of cable and/or box and/or antenna. You can also feed a satellite into a standalone TiVo.

The current model sold at TiVo.com and Best Buy are TiVo Series2.

Then there's the DirecTV with TiVo receiver. Those ONLY work with DirecTV.

As for seasons - some start in Oct, most start mid- to late- Sept. Rarely do shows premire in Aug.
