Does anyone know where I can get this COOL CD label file from? I notice it on the Screen Savers preview of the Tech Live show.
Thanks,
Tivoman

Thats not actually the final label.. There have been changes since then. I'll ask Spire if he wants to post a generic copy of it (The copy he sent me is formatted to match the template for the labels I was using)

Was that part of the show or just a "This is what is coming up tonight" promotion? Either way does somebody have a video clip or screen shot?

Wait, was that graphic there in the beginning the whole time? :D

I now see what you're talking about. Yes it was. I thought you posted in the wrong thread.
Not sure where the capture is from, don't recall seeing it on TechLive last night. I do remember seeing a piece of paper that said MFSTools 2.0.

I didn't see it on Tech Live.. But thats not surprising considering

I'm just wondering if I found a re-run of that ep if they would have it in there.

Thanks for the kind words, Tivoman! It's nice to know that my hard work isn't going completely unappreciated. :D
I've just e-mailed Tiger a newly rendered copy of the final label (in JPEG format, at full 300dpi resolution), so he should be posting it on his download page soon.

Very cool. Thanks for sharing.

Tiger probably has been too busy to post the label on his site, so I'll go ahead and post it here. Because the file is too large to be posted as a single attachment here, I've used WinRAR to compress it into an archive, split into three parts. Also, because this forum doesn't allow .RAR attachments, I've then encapsulated each .RAR part into its own .ZIP file.
To extract the label, first download all three .ZIP files, then use WinRAR to extract the .RAR parts from the .ZIP files, and then use WinRAR again to extract the label from the first .RAR file.
Notes on the label itself:
The CD label has been designed for use with the MFS Tools 2.0 bootable ISO CD image. It is intended for use with "mini-CDs", and is in JPEG format, rendered at 300dpi. In order to compensate for slight positional errors, it has been trapped with a large diameter (81mm), exceeding even the most generously sized mini-CD templates available. In addition, it includes both center and edge crop marks to help with centering.
The CD label in its current form is not optimized for use with regular-sized CDs. In order to get it to fit, resizing and repositioning of the elements of the design would be necessary. If there is sufficient interest, I might be willing to make the adjustments, time permitting. Please direct all requests to me in this thread.

Hope Spire doesn't mind, but here's an adjusted image that worked great on a standard CD using a Neato label:

The low compression, larger save is at http://home.dmv.com/~kimsan/MFST2.0CDLabelBig.jpg
I just shifted the "menu" items a bit to the left and sized it to my regular Neato template.
cheers,
kim
