Is there a website out there which will tell you if and when a certain episode of a show will air again either the same or another channel? FOr instance 24 always was repeated in the week. im interested in the nonprime time repeats of most of the HBO series. thanks

Really, the best way to do this is on your View Upcoming Episodes feature on your TiVo. I haven't seen a website come close to this feature as yet. However, tv.yahoo.com (uses Tribune data too) has a good search tool which does a complete search on the listings and can return all upcoming airings it knows about across all channels on your specific lineup. The channel sites (HBO.com) do an okay job if you click a show and look for upcoming airings across all HBO channels sometimes.

However, sorry if I am not directly answering your question, but if you do a SP for shows you like (Wire, Sopranos etc.) which air a lot of times across the different HBOs and feeds (East/West), you should do an Auto-Record Wishlist instead for the show title (and genre or actor) that will automatically go and find the most convenient recording regardless of the timeslot. I am doing this with Odyssey 5 and are getting airings in weird time slots and alternate channels which suits me fine.
