Witchblade - Missed premier, need info

SPOILER WARNING: Do not read if you have not seen the premier or the second episode.

OK, so I went to watch the two hour premier of Witchblade last night and it had slipped off my TiVo due to lack of space. (kicking myslef for not setting to save until I delete). So I figure, what the heck, I'll just watch the next one. Right out of the box they have Danny on the show. Help me out here, isn't he DEAD! I need to know what happened in the premier so I can understand what I started to watch last night. I stopped watching after about 10 minutes because it was just too confusing.

In the season finale last year, Sara Pezzini used the Witchblade to reset time back to just before they entered the warehouse where Danny was killed.

She doesn't remember much, but gets "feelings" and she felt it was wrong so they didn't go in, and Danny didn't die.

The Season Premiere basically delt with Kenneth Irons understanding that and wanting to take the Witchblade from Pezzini before she figured out what it was. In fact, it really was a mini version of the entire last season, effectively wiping it out (Irons even throws himself on the Witchblade during the climactic finale, so that Sara has killed him). Ian Nottingham was supposed to avenge him, but in the episode you DO have, he decides he's happier being free of Irons, or at least claims to be.

Confused yet? It's even more confusing than last year.

Danny is alive, but Jake is still in training and Pezzini is her training officer. Sara does some Witchblade stuff and meets Gabriel, but is hiding everything from Danny, who doesn't like it much.

I started finding Witchblade annoying towards the end last year and that is carrying on this year. I HATE comic book based shows where the person hardly ever uses their powers!!!! Sarah only uses the Witchblade at the end of each show and even then, it's pretty lame.

I'll probably watch one or two more episodes. If it doesn't get any better, it's getting the boot. I wouldn't watch the show at all, except it's summer and nothing else is on.
