Who's watching Wimbledon Tennis on TNT?

I'm just wondering what people think of TNT's weekday coverage of Wimbledon? There's certainly lots of it - 9 hours - but the quantity doesn't make up for the quality IMO.
So far the coverage has been jerky. And the announcers - I can deal with Jim Courrier (kind of a smart a$$ though) and Barry MacKay, but Marv Albert??? Weren't Patrick McEnroe and Cliff Drysdale available? (Or do they have an exclusivity clause in their ESPN contracts?)
While Martina Navratalova and Mary Carillo certainly bring much expertise to the table, they can get SOOO catty sometimes. ("Will you just look at her hair?").
Overall, I prefer ESPN's coverage of the Majors. Shoot, I might as well make a poll out of this!

I agree with basically everything you said.
This first week of a tournament is almost always boring. I don't even understand why women's pre-semifinal matches are even broadcasted - you know who's going to win. On the other hand, it's very disjointed to see (on the men's side) a tournament favorite, Federer, thumped by somebody I've never heard of...Mario Ancic? ok
They didn't show the Mirnyi, Spadea, Gambil, or Blake matches, which were the matches I wanted to see. They showed the Martin and Chang matches, but they did so much cutting I can't even remember who won.
ESPN picks a match and generally sticks to it. And I've gotten used to Pat and Cliff's shtick. If I hear Courier say "Mr. Momentum has changed his address" again, I'll scream.
I'm hoping that no Goran, no Rafter, slow Sampras is going to open the door for some sort of craziness. Courier seems to think that Martin could go all the way(!). I'd like to see Spadea get it together. Last year Esude had a very impressive game and could get pretty far.
It's still better than the increasingly horrible French Open. I didn't even bother watching the finals for that one!

I watched it again today when I got home. The only decent match was Henin's which went 3 sets. They showed MOST of it. Even assuming you were able to be in front of a TV from 7AM to 3PM, this would be unwatchable without TiVo.
I agree about the French Open.

Ugh...
Spoiler Alert! (highlight to read)
Sampras, Agassi, Martin, Safin, and God knows who else are out.
I can't even imagine watching this without the TiVo.
Don't give up yet. During the second week, there's less matches, so they will be basically forced to stay with one match at a time. But if a serve and volleyer doesn't make it deep, I'm going to be pretty damn disappointed.
I'm beginning to believe that the men should start moving to a best of three format, at least for the first three rounds. Even with the TiVo, I don't have the patience to watch some of these matches!

I need to TiVo a match with Anna Kournikova. She still in it?

no

I agree, this kind of coverage is perfect for TiVo. How DO people watch this without TiVo? 9 hours is too much for a VCR.
The triple FF and skip to tick get a real workout when I'm watching.

People still watch tennis?
