Two Tivos One Upgrade

I have a standalone 30 hour unit (the original 2 disk Philips) This one has a lifetime subscription.

I also have an early 14 hour Philips Unit - this one no longer has a subscription - I only use it to record one or two shows sporadically - due to low capacity at high quality.

I ordered from PVRJoe a single disk replacement with 145 hours for the 30 hour unit - this will replace both disks in it.

Question:

Can I move the disks from the 30 hour unit to the 14 hour unit (unsubscribed) to increase it to 30 hours? I see no point in storing the 2 disks with 30 hours as the b/u since I can store the single 14 hour disk as the backup.

Any tips?

Yes. Just move the drives and you'll be good to go.

I concur. You can do what you say, so long as the 2 units are the same brand.

I just swapped an upgraded 80 with the original 13 gig between my two units because one of them had a lifetime sub. No prob...

Thanks

I Replaced the two drives in the 30 hour Tivo with a 120GB and then placed the two drives into the 14 hour unit (both Philips) - and it is a 30 hour unit.

Thanks
