ran tivoflash on SA tivo - help?

I was installing a TurboNet NIC in my Phillips HDR312 (2.5 at the time) and stupidly ran the tivoflash utility, which is meant for DirecTivos. I didn't realize this until after it had attempted boot and hosed things up quite well.

So, I restored an older OS copy and things are functional again. However, every time I make a change to the OS, it gets overwritten at boot!

I assume that one of the hidden partitions is just an image used to overwrite the root slice? If this is the case, how can I make it NOT do that? Did I really break things by running tivoflash? I figure I did.

Since it keeps overwriting, I have no serial console nor NIC drivers. With a dead modem, that leaves me with a doorstop Tivo. Alas.

Any suggestions?

Well, I would say the best thing to do would be to restore from a backup. You could try running kill_initrd as well.

What version of software does it say you have?
