Looks like some brilliant person at Liberty Media (those responsible for MuchUSA (MuchMusic Canada's USA channel) thinks that producing 2 hours total of "Uranium" a week (the only time decent hard rock/metal videos are played) makes it necessary to pre-empt "Loud".

MuchCanada has played Loud once on Saturday evening and repeating once again on Sunday morning early AM for as long as I can remember.

Why can't the people at MuchUSA at least let one of those show?

Uranium isn't bad, but Loud is much better, especially now that they are moving the Punk to its own show. I don't see Uranium showing the European metal that Loud has been very good about showing lately. There just isn't much of a market for that in the USA. Too much nu-metal to shove down our throats numerous times a week, of course!

e-mail mminfo@rainbow-media.com and let them know you'll start watching Extreme Rock on MTV2 instead if they don't let Loud play . . .

Wow. I got a response a week or two ago to my e-mail saying Loud would be back July 20. Sure enough, guide data was right, it was and is there, and it looks like it is back for now.

Yes!

(And "The Punk Show" is on right before it. Don't forget to give a Thumbs down to that as it is a new show :) Or maybe a thumbs up because it keeps that crap off of Loud)

Now they just need to throw a few bones of alternative metal on to Loud (they never play things like King's X, Galactic Cowboys, Dream Theater, or Fates Warning), and it will be a pretty perfect show! But I've been asking for that ever since it came on . . . I don't see why punk-crap was good enough to play but something like "If I Was a Killer" by GC wasn't "hard" enough for Loud.

Uggh, the morons at Rainbow were obviously pulling my leg. When you say something "returns" July 20, legally that should mean more than just one show. They actually showed a whole crap block of Uranium RERUNS the last 2 weeks instead of Loud.

They haven't responded to my less polite follow up e-mail.

If it is a licensing issue or it costs them too much money or something, why did they tease us with bringing it back one time?

What a frickin joke.
