I have a phillips hdr-212 that was originally 20hrs then i added a 60gig drive to bring it up to 80hrs. I am unable to recover from the "failed to load series" error and i've been told the only course of action left is to re-image the drive and to work from there. Can someone send me a 3.0 image for a hdr-212 to fit on the 20gig drive then i'll rebless the 60 and re-upgrade.. or if someone has an image for a 60gig drive then i'll just use that and drop the 20gig.

I have a virgin image from the 20gig originally with whatever version of the software is on it. But I am afraid if i use that I'll eventually just run into the same issue.

Just use your virgin image and let it upgrade that. You won't run into the same problem again if that image really was created before you hacked anything.

I've also seen it posted that the HDR112 image will work on the HDR212 and 312, never tested it though. Check the AVS ftp site.

I read that 3.0 (and some code) can make the serial port work for my cable box and I would like to give it a try.

Could some kind soul please provide me with a link to download an image for my Philips 212. The original drive has failed and I have a brand new 100GB drive just itchin' to get to work. Thank you for your help in advance

I am not sure what version I need. My drive failed before I have even gotten to use my TIVO! (That's what you get for buying on e-bay!)

I have a HDR312. The system version on it as I tried to set it up was 3.0. Could anyone please send me a PM with a link ?

You need a Philips HDR image not earlier than that shipped with your TiVo.

You should be OK with 2.0 or 2.5 - just check that your TiVo successfully upgrades to 3.0 once it's back up. If the TiVo restarts to upgrade and comes back up as 2.x, you've got a serious problem.
