I have a hughes gxe model directivo., orig problem was constant reboot, finally going to the gsod, pulled quatum drive and ran diagnostics= bad drive, bought new maxtor 40gb, restored w/ verified image, placed in tivo, goes to welcome, pwering up, almost there..., then gsod then starts over.

I checked the jumpers and I think I added software fix (madboot_edit..etc.) to the image ( image is 2.0) so it would boot properly.

I have had the tivo for only 6mos, I have spent close to 25 hrs and 90 bucks trying to fix this thing...

Any suggestions or maybe another walkthrough for restoring my image w/ this scenario, I am going nuts, please any help!
