tivoftpd problem

Having a problem with tivoftpd exclusively. I can connect with the command line ftp client but can't change directories (CD). I can also connect with other FTP Clients but cant see the directories or files nor can I change directories.

Error messages from the command line client are:
550 Directory change failed; directory does not exist.

Error messages from CuteFTP are:
STATUS:> Getting listing "/var"...
COMMAND:> TYPE A
200 Type set to A.
COMMAND:> CWD /var
550 Directory change failed; directory does not exist.
ERROR:> Requested action not taken (e.g., file or directory not found, no access).

This may not be enough info to determine the problem. Maybe someone will know.

I was having the same problem. Turned out I was using an old version of tivoftpd. Try downloading the new version at:
http://www.tivocommunity.com/tivo-v...hlight=tivoftpd

There are two versions of tivoftpd. From: Complete Newbie TiVo Hacker How-To

"If you have an original Series 1 TiVo unit with a PowerPC processor, download tivoftpd.ppc. If you have a newer Series 2 TiVo with a MIPS processor, download tivoftpd.mips"
