Turbonet w/ DirecWay and ICS

Does anyone have experience installing Turbonet utilizing DirecPC or DirecWay two-way satellite on an ICS peer network? I saw a comment that Turbonet requires DHCP, but I don't understand why.

I'm assuming that my network doesn't currently have DHCP because I'm using ICS to share the satellite connection and I don't have a router. Any help would be appreciated:confused:

ICS has a cheapo built in DHCP server, I believe.

But you can install Turbonet with a static IP, if you like. See the top of the Underground forum for jafa's new installer program.

ICS provides a DHCP server to any devices connected to your network.

I have a direcduo dish with the phone line return, I use a pc with ICS to get online with my mac, and my DTivo

(the pc becomes the "router" in this config)

:) Thanks for the info on how you are using DirecDuo w/ Turbonet. I'm also considering upgrading the hard drives in my DTivo. Any advice on which upgrade to do first? Turbonet or Hard drive(s)?
