Hi, Looking for a little help. I am upgrading my Phillips unit today with a WD 120 drive. I bumped into a problem right out of the starting gate. I am new to linux could be most of the problem. I am trying to back up my old Tivo drive using MFS Tools 2.0. I get a error with my second command, Could use a little help.

/# mount /dev/hda /mnt/dos

that gets me

mount: you must specify the file system type

I entered the backup command

/#mfsbackup -6so /mnt/dos/tivo.bak /dev/hdc

thats gets me

A scan of the drive, 23 hours, backup size : 960 megs and,

Backup failed: /mnt/dos/tivo.bak: Success

Sounds like the second command like for mounting dos need a bit of help?

I little help would be great, I was going to try and restore the backup on a new WD 120 a drive today. Sure could use the extra space. Thanks in advance.

mount /dev/hda1 /mnt/dos
