Hi,

I want to get a TiVo. More to the point, I want to get a TiVo I can connect to my network. I heard the Series 2 does not have the edge connector? So this means I can't use the TurboNet with a Series 2 TiVo? Is there another way to get ethernet with the series 2 or do I have to get a series 1?

Are Series 1's still available? Where can I get one?

With Series 2, it's a lot easier and cheaper - you buy a USB-Ethernet dongle and plug it in. Once your unit gets the version 3 download, go to the phone connection settings and change the dialing prefix to ",#401" (without the quotes). No need to open the box.
