Does it matter which drive I upgrade?

I am ready to upgrade my FACTORY DUAL DRIVE DIRECTIVO.

I have a 120GB drive which I will be using to upgrade.

I would be happy with either of the below configurations:

Option1:
Replace existing A Drive:
120GB Drive A + 15GB Drive B
(slightly less recording but would leave me a 30GB drive to use elsewhere)

or
Option2:
Replace existing B Drive:
30GB Drive A + 120GB Drive B
(would give me maximum recording and 15GB drive to use)

or
Option3:
Replace both drives with a single 120GB A Drive
(less heat, reduced probability of failure --- only 1 drive vs 2, and leaves factory drives available in case I ever want to send unit back)
Does Option3 require that I would have to divorce drives and lose my recordings, since a dual drive backed up with recordings onto a single drive cannot be expanded?

Is it easier to upgrade to either of these configurations?
Are there any other advantages/disadvantages that I should consider that would make one configuration better than the other (e.g. upgrading in the future or optimization of partitions, etc).

Your recommendations would be appreciated. Thanks!

To upgrade a dual-drive TiVo, you have to "divorce" the drives. Once you do that, you can choose to upgrade whichever you choose.

Since I didn't get any feedback...

I chose to go with option 2....
Keep my 30GB A Drive and replace the 15GB drive with the 120GB drive...
