If you like all things medical post here what series you record!

I have
- Medical Diary
- The Lab

I have some others that I can't remember now. I also go to wishlist by category-arts and lifestyle-medical and set up individual recordings of what I want since an autorecord would get a lot of uninteresting (for me) programs (there are about 50 a day) and miss the ones I really want.

My best gems:
- From conception to birth
- Cloning
- A show on medicla uses of leeches, maggots, and bees

What I would like more of, and I don't know if there's a series or channel that does this, are old medical shows or shows about old medical shows... like the Influenza epidemic, shows on early immunizations, that kind of stuff.

I have liked Code Blue, it is like a real life version of ER.

I have Emergency Vets, Paramedics, Secrets of Forensic Science, Code Blue, Forensic Files, Medical Detectives, and Lifeline. I also record random shows that are advertised during the commercials for these.

hmm...season passes for:

Code Blue
Trauma, Life in the ER
Women Docs
Maternity Ward
Labor and Delivery
Houston Medical

Whatever happened to The Operation?

I just got DTivo, so I expect I'll find some shows on Discovery Health.

I have to put in a plug for Children's Hospital, on PBS. Its where my wife works, although she hid from the camera. Good thing, too, since two of the women featured on the show have both gotten letters from inmates in Maryland, one looking for love in a pen pal relationship, the other was a death threat.

Code Blue is good, too. That hospital offered my wife a job.

"St. Elsewhere" on Bravo :)

Living with DTivo for a week, I have a few to add on Discovery Health.

Lifeline
Super Surgery

Well, actually, I can pretty much watch that channel 24/7. :)

I have a WL for "hip replacement" that has turned up all sorts of medical shows.

Pretty gruesome surgery. Glad I didn't see any of these shows before I went under the knife. ;)

ER
Emergency! (does that count)

I would record St. Elsewhere if it aired on a channel I actually received. (no Bravo for me.. :( )

Saw breast augmentation surgery a time or two on TV. Not attractive at all. Make me look at them in a differnt light.

I know it was mentioned by someone earlier, but I wanted to recommend "Paramedics" .. comes up as a Suggestion over here quite a bit .. well done show ..

Saw a few of those when "The Operation" was still around. I saw one with the carpenters digging around by hand using crowbars, and one with a robot doing it. Both quite interesting.

None of that stuff grosses me out, and I would probably want to watch my operation first, to bone up. :D

i know this isn't the type of show you meant, but SCRUBS is really good.

Posted by: jborho

I can't watch those shows..... I do it all day long... Paramedic/Firefighter from St. Louis Mo

I watch:

ER
Houston Medical
Baby Story

And Scrubs, but I don't think that counts. :)

In the fall I will be adding Presidio Med. I used to have one for Vet School Confidential but I think the show disappeared.
