12 Monkeys on USA

I've been wanting to see 12 Monkeys again for some time, and while scanning the guide saw that it aired Sunday evening.
So I checked upcoming showings, and saw that it will re-air on Tuesday at 5:00 PM PT
I really enjoyed it the first time I saw it, and hope to be able to follow it a little better the second time with the help of TiVo :p

Buy the DVD. It's worth it.

Hey Dale, TiVo is fabulous for movies. But I wouldn't trust any network to do a good job of editing a movie like 12 Monkeys. You'll probably be left wondering and wanting more...

I can't imagine wayching a decent movie on commercial TV, especially since the advent of the DVD...

I watched The Caine Mutiny on TCM yesterday...letterboxed, uncut, and uninterrupted. Earlier in the day I saw The Agony & the Ecstasy the same way (I've seen both several times).
But 12 Monkeys? Only on my DVD...that was one of the first few discs I bought "back in the day"! :)

Please rent or buy the DVD (or the VHS if you haven't switched over yet) rather than watch this on USA. Whereas Captain Ron or Stop! Or My Mom Will Shoot can be watched on USA, 12 Monkeys should never be.

Thanks for all the feedback!!!
Nice to see I'm not the only 12 Monkeys fan!

12 Monkey has been on STARZ a few times in the past couple of weeks. I'm sure USA edits it.

So does STARZ. The editing they do is called "Pan and Scan"
It's a movie that (like most Terry Gilliam films) should really be seen

I really like the movie. It's amazing how much you end up thinking and analyzing it in subsequent viewings.

Buy It, don't even bother to watch it on commercial TV. Like everyone else here it was one of my first purchases. It's a great movie that needs the quality of presentation only DVD can offer.

No, you are not the only 12 Monkeys fan! ;) :D
And let me chime in with the rest of the chorus and say buy it on DVD! However, if you like your DVDs served up with extras, be sure to not buy the DTS version. The Collector's Edition has many great extras, including The Hamster Factor, a short film about the making of 12 Monkeys.

Better late than never! ;)
