A Survivor fans heads up. On Thursday August the 15th. Jeff Probst will announce the Survivor Thialand cast on "The Early Show" on CBS. My Survivor Wishlist picked this up and put it on the To Do List for me. So don't miss it!

I'm still getting the hang of scheduling - (other than my Season Passes), basically I just go through the guide and select anything that looks good...

I'm still working on breaking the mindset I got from using my crappy VCR - It was completely unprogrammable.. I either had to be home, or the show had to come on within 6 hours (I'd just hit record and let the tape run) - and god forbid I wanted to change the channel and record something else! Your post just made me realize I can now watch the ex-Survivors on the Early Show!!

I've just set up a Wishlist for Survivor, but I have a question for ya: is yours just a 'Survivor' wishlist? Or do you have 'Thailand' in there too? When I set it up and looked at what it suggested (searching Survivor), there were all kinds of crazy shows in there....

Yes, mine is just a plain "Survivor" autorecord Wishlist. And like you I do get a lot of hits off of it especially during the regular tv season. I just go through the To Do List and delete everything that I don't want. This way I get all of the Survivor previews on Thursday on The Early Show and the latest cast-off on Fridays plus their late night appearances on Letterman on O'Brien.

Wishlists are one of the neatest things about Tivo. For instance a couple of weeks ago Tivo recorded "Broadcast News". At the time I thought it was strange that this got recorded because looking at the basic description it didn't fit anything I have set up. So I'm watching it last night and lo and behold there is Jack Nicholson. Aha, bingo my Jack Nicholson wishlist picked it up!

My absolute favorite thing about Tivo is it's ability to record a show and play another show from Now Playing at the same time. I'm sure you will come to love this also. No more waiting on a VCR to stop recording so that I can watch something on another time.

I have an auto-record wishlist for Survivor & Category Talk (in addition to the Survivor season pass). I haven't had a mis-hit in 6 months of having it set. It catches what I want every time.

Yes I suggest just using the survivor wishlist for the geographically challenged.
