Will there ever be a new episode of the Outer Limits?

Did scifi cancel the show or what? It's been a long time and I haven't heard anything.

Didn't they go out of production?
Saw one I hadn't seen before over the weekend starring Enrico Colantoni (Elliott from Just Shoot Me) called "Think Like A Dinosaur".
Good show. Sci-Fi still shows the reruns...I should set up a new SP for those...

Sometimes.
I watched "Inconstant Moon" the other day with Michael Gross. It was awful. The dialog was head poundingly bad.
To me it's a big hit or miss show. One can be fantastic and one can be horrible.

I've been wondering the same thing about new shows. Since Sci-Fi isn't listing episode info for most of the shows, my Tivo is picking up the reruns. I'm surprised at how many I haven't seen. I did like the "Moon" story with Michael Gross the other night. It was late when I watched it, and I have to admit that the dialog didn't bother me. Loved the concept - I thought about that show a few times the next day!

I've been wondering about The Outer Limits and Night Visions. Neither have new episodes listed (NV has none at all)

Outer Limits usually have great concepts and I did like this one. But the sappy junk between Gross and his girl was too much.
In many, MANY places I was feeding the next line in the conversation almost word for word before they said it. Just too blah and predictable for me.
Spoiler Alert! (highlight to read)
Didn't see the telephone pole through the window though! Yikes!
The last line was the worst:
Woman: What do you see?
Gross: Another day....

I used to really dig OL, but it got kinda stale. There are only so many scripts one can make in that genre before they all start looking the same.
I especially disliked the clips episodes, except for the one "volunteer training mission" one.
I think the breaking point for my interest level was when Tivo started to confuse the old B&W episodes with the new ones.

I enjoy THE OUTER LIMITS but I did notice the quality going downhill during the final season. Most of the episodes were clip episodes and retreads of previous episodes.
I actually like "Inconsistent Moon" and thought "Think Like A Dinosaur" was excellent!
The new TWILIGHT ZONE series premiering on UPN this fall looks promising. I've always enjoyed TZ since the original 60's show and some of the 80's series' stories were very good as well... other than the cheesy SFX. From the teaser clips, the new TZ series looks like it will have SFX comparable to the Showtime/SciFi version of THE OUTER LIMITS.
Apparently, a theatrical movie of THE OUTER LIMITS is in discussion too.

I agree...I am very interested in seeing how they do things, including the use of Forrest Whitaker as host. However, could UPN have possibly picked the worst night and time imaginable?
Wednesday, 9 PM:
ABC The Bachelor 2
CBS The Amazing Race 3
NBC The West Wing
UPN The Twilight Zone
WB Birds of Prey
To keep my wife and myself happy, I may need to buy another DTiVo. We only have 2 now, and 4 tuners isn't going to be enough. :) Frankly, I'm amazed that at least ONE of these networks didn't say "you know what, maybe there's a better day for our show..."

But it has Enterprise as a lead-in!! How can it possibly FAIL?!

Pan, that was the best laugh of the week. :)

You must be new here. :) Pan's "ennerprize" jokes are a dime a dozen!

Ah, but dimes well-spent.

I liked "Think Like a Dinosaur" better when it was online on Sci-Fi Channel's Seeing Ear Theater. But still a good story.
