How many hours after upgraded?

Hello, I was just wondering how many hours I should expect to get when I upgrade. It seems like everything is rather close to 1GB = 1 hour? Or something close like that. So if I were to upgrade to use 2 160GB drives, the result would be close to 320 hours? Looking to do this on one of the new Series 2 units from Best Buy
Thanks!

Well, the TiVo will only see 137GB of each drive due to an older IDE interface. As a general rule, 1GB=1Hr is good. I think the maximum capacity is right around 300 hours.

Note: keeping things simple by using the silly 1GB=1 billion bytes terminology that the drive manufactures pushed on the industry to artifically inflate the capacity of their drives.

For a SA @ Basic: 2x120MB = 304 hours; 2x160MB = 344 hours. The small difference is because only 137MB of the 160MB is recognized.
