For the record, I rather like the show...Danson makes you completely forget the "Sam Malone" character ever existed. :)

'Becker' Gets Love Interest
Mon Aug 5, 1:22 PM ET
PASADENA, Calif. (AP) - Ted Danson's grumpy "Becker" is finally getting a real love interest.
Nancy Travis, who's already been on a few episodes of the CBS sitcom, gets the part.
"I'm excited. I really am," Danson told reporters. "I can't wait to see Becker chase a girl. He's never done that. He'll be terrible. I imagine he'll be terrible."
While Travis joins the show, another actress is leaving.
Terry Farrell's character, Reggie, has been written out of the show. Even though it wasn't her decision, Danson thinks this change is good.
"It's different circumstances, but I don't think 'Cheers' would have lasted as long as it did if there hadn't been a sea-change like that," Danson said. "I think it just naturally energizes a show."
He compares it with the changes at "Cheers" when Shelley Long left and Kirstie Alley came on board to butt heads with his Sam Malone character at the famous Boston watering hole.
Danson hasn't made a movie in years but he's fine with that because he loves television work.
"Yes, it'd be wonderful, be a fabulous movie star," he said. "But my really, really, really, by myself truth is, I like being home. I like going home at night and eating with my family. I do love this format. I do love making people laugh."
Another change for "Becker," now entering its fifth season, is it moves to Sunday nights in the fall.
